CBT FOUNDATIONS WORKBOOK Cognitive Behavioral Therapy — Core Skills & Practice Exercises
About This Workbook
This workbook is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the most extensively researched and validated forms of psychotherapy. CBT is based on the principle that our thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors are interconnected — and that by changing unhelpful patterns in any one area, we can create positive change across all others.
This workbook is designed to be used alongside individual therapy sessions, but many exercises can also support independent self-reflection and skill practice between appointments.
|
Research evidence: CBT has strong empirical support for depression, anxiety disorders, OCD, PTSD, eating disorders, chronic pain, insomnia, and many other conditions (Hofmann et al., 2012; NICE Guidelines, 2023). |
